Corporate citizenship

An international company wishes to break down mental barriers and improve the team and social skills of its management personnel in middle management.

Process One develops and supports a corporate citizenship project in which the managers renovate the courtyard of a Wiesbaden homeless shelter together with the “customers” of this facility. In total, 32 management personnel from six countries travel there in groups of ten on three weekends in order to, jointly with the homeless, lay down gravel and paving stones and plant. The work is supplemented by reflective phases in which goals and experiences are discussed and evaluated. The participation in the project is voluntary for each employee and five days of vacation time must be sacrificed for it.

The work is worth it: All participants break down their prejudices and reservations and increase their sensitivity in interpersonal contact. The management personnel return to their work locations with new experiences and the intention of implementing them in everyday company life. They network with their international colleagues. The cooperation improves significantly.

The company may additionally use the project for publicity work and thus publicise its social commitment.
